Extracted Text Will Appear Here
Urdu OCR turns visible writing in an image or PDF into editable text. The page accepts JPG, PNG, WEBP, and PDF files; it reads image pages with a Urdu-language recognition engine and places the extracted characters in a preview. This is useful when you have a photographed paragraph or scanned page but need to quote, search, or revise the words as text. A picture of writing and actual Unicode characters serve different purposes: the latter can be copied and edited.
Recognition is not transcription by a human reader. Blurry letters, shadows, curved pages, tightly joined Nastaliq text, mixed languages, and handwriting can all lead to missing or incorrect words. Do not use unreviewed OCR for names, figures, quotations, or official records. The first PDF conversion may take longer because each page is rendered as an image before recognition.
آج کا سبق: اردو پڑھنا سیکھیں۔
A clear printed lesson heading in a photograph can become editable text; check colon and punctuation.
درخواست جمع کرانے کی آخری تاریخ جمعہ ہے۔
A scanned notice may contain a crucial deadline; compare every word with the image.
صفحہ ۱: تعارف
A multi-page PDF result includes page boundaries; keep them if you need to cite which page contained a phrase.
A student can turn a scanned excerpt into text to annotate. An archivist can make a photographed clipping easier to search, and a writer can recover a quotation from an image for careful proofreading. The edit tab matters as much as recognition: it lets you repair common OCR errors before copying the result. A short, clean printed passage usually makes a better first test than a complicated handwritten page.
This tool does not translate the recognized Urdu into English. After checking extracted words, use the dictionary for individual meanings or an appropriate translator for a separate translation. If the original is sensitive, consider whether processing a file in a browser using third-party language resources meets your privacy needs.
Yes. The tool renders and processes pages in sequence, so larger PDFs take longer.
Handwriting can be difficult for OCR. Compare every result against the original and correct errors manually.
The upload accepts JPG, PNG, and WEBP images, as well as PDF files.
Yes. Select the edit tab, make changes, and then copy or download the revised text.
No. OCR extracts characters; translation is a separate task after you verify the extracted wording.
